Director

Jan has been a resident of Plumas County since 1975. She taught school for the Plumas Unified School District for four years before starting the Graeagle Pre-School in 1979. The school was open and thriving for thirty-three years. While managing the school, Jan travelled as an accomplished artist participating in gallery showings throughout the country. Her work was primarily represented at Gumps and Shreve's in San Francisco CA. Jan's work is also represented in the Boston  Museum of Art.

She has had the opportunity of meeting and greeting visitors and locals as the Director of the Lost Sierra Visitor Center for six and a half years. Jan served as Co-president of the Lost Sierra Foundation for five years.

Jan has been married for fifty years to Roger, a local Contractor. They have successfully run Brookside Construction for forty-five years. Many local homes were designed by Roger and built by their company and dedicated crew. Together, they have participated in many local non-profits and enjoy trying to help make our beautiful eastern county a place that many will call home.
